Sierra Leone took part in the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta for the sixth time in the Summer Olympics. The team consisted of 14 participants, ten of whom were men and four women. You started in ten competitions in three sports, but could not win a medal. The youngest participant was the track and field athlete Sia Kamanor with 19 years and 147 days, the oldest was the track and field athlete Sanusi Turay with 28 years and 111 days. During the opening ceremony, Eunice Barber carried the Sierra Leone flag into the Olympic Stadium.
