Croatia took part in the 1996 Summer Olympics in the US metropolis of Atlanta with 84 athletes, 9 women and 75 men, in 14 sports.

After 1992 it was Croatia's second participation in the Summer Olympics .

Flag bearer

Water polo player Perica Bukić carried the flag of Croatia during the opening ceremony on July 19 at the Centennial Olympic Stadium .

Medalist

Each with a recovered gold and silver medals, the Croatian team finished 45th in the medals table .
