Turkmenistan took part in the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta , USA , with a delegation of seven athletes (four men and three women). It was Turkmenistan’s first participation in the Olympic Games as a separate state after participating in 1992 in Barcelona , Spain as part of the United Team .
