Honduras took part in the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta for the sixth time in the Summer Olympics. The team consisted of seven athletes, four of whom were male and three were female. They started in seven competitions in four sports. The youngest participant was the swimmer Ramón Valle at 19 years and 343 days, the oldest was the judoka Leonardo Carcamo at 30 years and 263 days. During the opening ceremony on July 19, 1996, the boxer Darwin Angeles carried the Honduran flag into the Olympic Stadium.
