The Comoros took part in the 1996 Summer Olympics in the US metropolis Atlanta with four athletes, one woman and three men, in four competitions in one sport.
It was the Comoros' first participation in the Summer Olympics .
Flag bearer
Athlete Faissoil Ben Daoud carried the Comoros flag during the opening ceremony on July 19 at the Centennial Olympic Stadium .
Attendees
The youngest participant in the Comoros was Hadhari Djaffar at 17 years and 257 days, the oldest participant was Mohamed Bakar at 23 years and 207 days.
