Madagascar took part in the 1996 Summer Olympics in the US metropolis of Atlanta with eleven athletes, seven women and four men, in ten competitions in four sports.
Since 1964 , Madagascar participated in the Summer Olympics for the seventh time .
Flag bearer
Tennis player Dally Randriantefy carried the flag of Madagascar during the opening ceremony on July 19 at the Centennial Olympic Stadium .
