Zoran Mikulić (born October 24, 1965 in Travnik ) is a Croatian handball coach and former handball player who was mostly used as a right backcourt player .

Career

The 1.94 m tall left-hander began his career in his hometown with Borac Travnik. He came to Spain through the top club Metaloplastika Šabac , first to SD Caja and later to SD Octavio . There he threw 262 goals in the 1994/95 season, including 21 goals in the game against Guadalajara. A record in the ASOBAL league that still exists today. In 1996 he joined the German handball league for TuS Nettelstedt , with whom he won the City Cup in 1997 and 1998 . After five years he moved to Austria to Remus Bärnbach / Köflach , where he worked as a player- coach until 2004 . He let his career end in 2004/05 at RK Zadar.

With the Croatian national team , Zoran Mikulić won the gold medal at the 1996 Olympic Games . He was used in five games and scored nine goals. He played at least 62 international matches .

After the end of his career, the sports teacher and father of a daughter took over the coaching position at several Croatian clubs.
