The HSG Bärnbach / Köflach ( handball game community Bärnbach / Köflach ; with sponsor name handball game community Remus Bärnbach / Köflach ) is an Austrian handball club from Bärnbach and Köflach in Styria .
The club has moved up from the spusu Challenge to the spusu league.
history
The HSG REMUS Bärnbach / Köflach originally consisted of two clubs, the HC Bärnbach and the HC Köflach . HC Bärnbach has existed since 1923. Bärnbach was able to secure two championship titles in the then state league (1974 and 1976). HC Köflach was able to win the championship title in the state league in 1982.
In 1992 there was a merger and the HSG Bärnbach / Köflach was created. In 1997 the team became vice-champions in the HLA, in 1999 and 2000 champions. 2001 won the cup.
In the 2009/10 season, the club became Bundesliga champions and rose to the HLA . After the 2015/16 season , the Styrians were relegated to the Handball Bundesliga Austria . In the 2018/19 season, he was promoted back to the top division after 2 years .
