Remus ( Remus Innovation Research and Exhaust Systems Production Company mbH ) is an Austrian manufacturer of exhaust systems and diesel soot particle filters based in Bärnbach in western Styria . In the industry, Remus made a name for himself mainly through his sports exhaust systems for automobiles and motorcycles under Remus Racing . Industrial customers include: B. the tuning companies Abt Sportsline and Brabus .

The Remus company exports around 90 percent of its products to almost 60 countries worldwide.

history

In 1990 the company was founded with five employees under the direction of Managing Director Angelika Kresch.

After a few years Remus became the world market leader in the field of sports exhaust systems and became a development partner for numerous automobile manufacturers.

In 2002 a new development and research center was opened.

In 2006, a new factory hall with around 5,000 m² of production space and a modern logistics center were built to provide additional capacities and space for around 375 employees.

2016 The Remus Group operates as a subsidiary of ARP Twentyone GmbH.

In 2017/2018, REMUS was the technical partner of the Mercedes-AMG DTM team.

2017 The Remus Sebring Group participates in ATT - Advanced Thermal Technologies from Dobl .

Remus has a wide variety of products with different designs and sounds for all common European car brands in its range.

Motorcycle exhaust systems

The motorcycle delivery program includes brands from Aprilia to Yamaha and products for street bikes, off road bikes and chopper / cruisers and accessories for ATV / quads and minicross bikes.

Particle filter

Remus has been producing diesel particulate filters for several years . These filters are also available for buses and trucks.

Sponsorship

Remus is the outfitter of many teams and motorsport series and sponsor of numerous athletes. In addition to motor sports enthusiasts such as Karl Wendlinger , Andreas Aigner , Armin Schwarz and Raimund Baumschlager , the company accompanied z. B. also Damon Hill or Jacques Villeneuve . Remus is also involved in skiing ( Renate Götschl , Hans Knauß ), golf and other areas.
