Andreas Aigner (born September 24, 1984 in Leoben ) is an Austrian rally driver . In 2008 he won the Production member and not of the World Rally Championship .

Career

In 2005 he made his World Rally Championship (WRC) debut in a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII at the Cyprus Rally . He took part in three other WRC rallies that year. For 2006 he signed with Armin Schwarz's Red Bull - Škoda team . As a team-mate of Harri Rovanperä , he took part in ten WRC rallies in a Škoda Fabia . He scored his first WRC points with a sixth place at the Rallye Deutschland .

In 2007 he switched to the production classification of the World Rally Championship (P-WRC) and drove a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX financed by Red Bull. He finished the season in 13th place. In 2008 he became world champion of the P-WRC. He won the P-WRC rallies in Argentina , Greece and Turkey . In Argentina he also finished eighth in the regular WRC classification, in the overall classification of which he finished 19th.

In 2010 he started in the Austrian rally championship which he finished in 6th place overall.
