Bruno Gudelj (born May 8, 1966 in Zagreb ) is a Croatian handball trainer and former handball player , who was mostly deployed on the back center .

The 1.92 m tall right-hander began his career at the Croatian top club Badel 1862 Zagreb , with whom he won the European Cup in 1992 and 1993 . In the domestic league he was champion in 1989, 1991, 1992, 1993 and 1994 and cup winner in 1991, 1992, 1993 and 1994. In 1994 he moved to the German second division club TSG Altenhagen-Heepen , for whom he scored 378 goals in 65 games in two years. In 1996 the Bundesliga team TUSEM Essen signed him . After one season he went to Bidasoa Irún in the Spanish ASOBAL league . There he stayed for only one season and from 1999 took over the position of player- coach at the Austrian club Bregenz Handball . With Bregenz he won the championship in 2001 and 2002 and the cup in 2000, 2002 and 2003. He ended his career in the summer of 2003.

With the Croatian national team , Bruno Gudelj won gold at the Mediterranean Games in 1993, bronze at the 1994 European Championships , silver at the 1995 World Championships and, as the culmination of his career, the 1996 Olympic Games gold medal. He played at least 77 international matches .

After leaving Bregenz, Gudelj took over the coaching position from Lino Červar in 2004 at his hometown club RK Zagreb , with whom he became champion and cup winner in 2005 and reached the final of the 2004/05 European Cup Winners' Cup , but lost to Ademar León . In the following season he was in charge of HIT Innsbruck .
