Maja Murić (born February 27, 1974 in Zagreb , Yugoslavia ) is a former Croatian tennis player .
Career
Murić won a double title in the ITF Women's Circuit during her career . On the WTA Tour she reached a double final with the Citroen Cup in 1993 , which she lost to Li Fang / Dominique Monami with 2: 6 and 1: 6.
For Croatia, she took part in the 1996 Summer Olympics in doubles in Atlanta with Iva Majoli . They won in the first round against the Italian pairing Silvia Farina / Laura Golarsa 7: 6 2 , 4: 6, and 9: 7. In the last sixteen they were eliminated from Conchita Martínez / Arantxa Sánchez Vicario 6: 2 and 6: 1.
In 1993 she won the gold medal in singles and doubles at the Mediterranean Games in Languedoc-Roussillon .
Between 1992 and 1997 she played for the Croatian Fed Cup team , for which she won 14 of their 20 games.
In 2000 she ended her tennis career.
