Vladimir Jelčić (born October 10, 1968 in Čapljina ) is a Croatian handball coach and former handball player .

The left winger first played for RK Metković and later for the Croatian top club RK Zagreb , with whom he won the European Cup in 1992 and 1993 and was multiple Croatian champions and cup winners. After a season at RK Zadar Gortan, he ran from 1996 on for the Slovenian RK Celje , with whom he was champion and cup winner in 1997, 1998 and 1999. He then returned to Zagreb, where he was champion and cup winner in 2000 and champion again in 2001. In the EHF Champions League he reached the final in 2000 , but was defeated by FC Barcelona . After returning to Metković, he let his career at the Italian HC Principe Triest end.

With the Croatian national team Vladimir Jelčić won the gold medal at the Mediterranean Games in 1993 and at the Olympic Games in 1996 . In Atlanta he played seven games in which he scored eleven goals. At the European Championships in 1994 he won the bronze medal.

For the 2010/11 season Jelčić was the assistant coach of his former teammate Nenad Kljaić in Zagreb. At the Super Globe he was assistant coach of the Qatari army club al-Jaish.
