The 2014/15 field season began on September 6, 2014. The double final for women and men took place together in the Rothenbaum Sports Park of the University of Hamburg . The official organizers were the University Sports Hamburg, the German Hockey Association and the German Hockey Agency .

Schwarz-Weiß Neuss withdrew its team before the start of the season, so there are only 11 teams this season and only 1 relegated team. Neuss is listed as another relegated team for the 2015/16 season.

Relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga 15/16 is the last-placed Rüsselsheimer Ruder-Klub 08 . In return, the Großflottbeker THGC and TUS Lichterfelde are promoted to the Bundesliga 15/16 .
