The Olympic history of Croatia began during the XXV. Olympics at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona ( Spain ), in which Croatia won two silver and one bronze medal. Croatian athletes previously competed under the flag of Yugoslavia . The National Olympic Committee is the Hrvatski olimpijski odbor .

Croatia competed in 14 Olympic Games that were held in 13 different countries - every one since 1992. 428 Croatian athletes (314 men and 114 women) competed in 176 competitions in 29 sports.

The youngest athlete was Goran Puljko (14 years, Olympic Winter Games 1992 ), the oldest Ivan Šola (48 years, Olympic Winter Games 2010 ). The most successful athlete was Janica Kostelić with six medals won.

Croatia won at the 2016 Summer Olympics with ten or at the 2002 Olympic Winter Games the most medals with four. At the 2016 Summer Olympics, Croatia was ranked 17th and at the 2002 Winter Olympics, it was ranked 12th among the participating nations.

Overall, in terms of the number of medals, Croatia ranks 43rd at the Summer Olympics and 21st at the Winter Olympics.
