At the XXVII. At the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney , 15 weightlifting competitions were held. The venue was the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Center on Darling Harbor . For the first time, there were seven competitions for women on the program, while two weight classes were canceled for men.
