doping

  • Because of repeated doping cases , the world association IMF decided in November 2015 to exclude Bulgaria from the Olympic Games in Rio. In addition, a qualification place was deleted from the Romanian association.
  • The Kyrgyz weightlifter Issat Artykow (weight class up to 69 kg) was convicted of doping during the Olympic Games. Traces of strychnine were found during a doping control . Artykow had to surrender the bronze medal he had won; the Colombian Luis Javier Mosquera moved up as fourth in the competition.
