Sohrab Moradi (born September 22, 1988 in Sedeh Lenjan , Isfahan ) is an Iranian weightlifter .

He finished 22nd in the class up to 77 kg at the 2007 World Championships . In 2008 he won the bronze medal at the Asian Championships . At the Asian Championships in 2009 he won gold in the class up to 85 kg. In 2011 he was sixth at the Asian Championships. At the Asian Championships in 2012 he won the gold medal again. In the same year he took part in the Olympic Games in London , in which, however, he did not succeed in a valid attempt in the tear. In 2013 he was first again at the Asian Championships . However, he was tested positive for methadone during the doping control and banned for two years. After his suspension, he became Olympic champion in 2016 and world champion in 2017.
