Nasik Avdalyan

Nasik Awdaljan ( Armenian Նազիկ Ավդալյան , Russian Назе́ли (На́зик) Варда́новна Авдаля́н , English Nazik Avdalyan ; born October 31, 1986 in Leninakan , Armenian SSR , Soviet Union ) is an Armenian weightlifter . In 2009 she became world champion in the weight class up to 69 kg body weight.

Career

Nasik Avdaljan started lifting weights in her hometown of Gyumri . Trained by Artashes Nersisjan, she appeared for the first time at an international championship in 2006, which was the same as the world championship in Santo Domingo ( Dominican Republic ). She started in the weight class up to 69 kg body weight (KG) and achieved 221 kg (100–121) in the duel, with which she took a good 7th place.

In 2007 she was runner- up in Strasbourg (up to 69 kg body weight) and increased her performance in a duel to 241 kg (105-136). Only Oksana Slivenko from Russia achieved a better performance with 257 kg (112-145). At the 2007 World Championships in Chiang Mai / Thailand , Nasik Avdaljan with 235 kg (102-135) did not quite come close to the performance of Strasbourg and ended up in 5th place. The winner and world champion Oksana Slivenko achieved 276 kg, with which she won in front of Liu Chunhong from China , 271 kg.

In 2008 she won her first title at the European Championships in Lignano . She won the class up to 69 kg body weight with 242 kg (106-131) in front of Tatiana Matwejewa from Russia, who achieved 239 kg. At the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008 she, actually a sure medal contender, did not start. Her compatriot Meline Dalusjan, who is otherwise so successful, did not start there either. Only Hipsime Khurschudjan competed in Beijing, but remained 30 kg below her normal performance.

2009 achieved Nasik Avdaljan at the European Championships in Bucharest 245 kg (110-135) in a duel and was second with this performance behind Oksana Slivenko, who achieved 255 kg. At the 2009 World Championships in Goyang / South Korea , she surprised her competitors and also the specialist audience with an increase to 266 kg (119-147), with which she became the new world champion in the class up to 69 kg body weight. She defeated it for the first time at an international championship Oksana Slivenko, who achieved 264 kg and came in 2nd place.
