Tatiana Wiktorowna Matvejewa ( Russian Татьяна Викторовна Матвеева ; born February 26, 1985 in Sima ) is a Russian weightlifter . She is a multiple medalist at world and European championships.

Career

Tatjana Matvejewa comes from Sima , Irkutsk Oblast , Siberia . There she started with Svetlana Podobedowa as a teenager with weightlifting. She developed quickly and at the age of 18 she was one of the best Russian weightlifters in the weight class up to 69 kg.

As a Russian junior champion, she was already used in 2003 at the World Championships for Senior Women in Hermosillo / Mexico , where she finished in the above. Weight class with 227.5 kg (97.5–130) placed 4th. In pushing, she even managed to win the World Cup silver medal with 130 kg.

In 2004 Tatyana Matveeva took second place in the Russian championship in the class up to 69 kg with 245 kg (107.5-137.5) behind Ossetin Sarema Kassajewa , who came to 252.5 kg. She was used in the same year at the European Senior Women Championships in Kiev , where she achieved 245 kg (107.5-137.5) with which she took second place behind the Turkish Sibel Şimşek , 247.5 kg. Then she started in 2004 at the Junior World Championships in Busan and got there with 249 kg (109-140) the world title in front of her compatriot Nadeschda Evstjuchina , who came to 240 kg in a duel. It was not used at the Olympic Games in Athens .

At the Russian championship 2005 Tatyana Matveeva came with 252.5 kg (107.5-145) behind Sarema Kasajewa, 265 kg and Olga Kiseljewa, 257.5 kg only on the 3rd place. It was therefore only used this year at the European Junior Championships in Trenčín and won there in the class up to 69 kg with 261 kg (114-147) in a duel for the title before Nadezhda Evstjuchina, who achieved 256 kg (115-141) .

In 2006 Tatjana Matvejewa received in Russia in addition to the aforementioned athletes with Oksana Slivenko, another rival who showed excellent performances and was ahead of her at the 2006 Russian championship. At the European Championships in 2006 in Władysławowo only Tatjana Matwejewa started and won there with 257 kg (112-145) the European title in the duel and in the two individual disciplines tear and push. At the 2006 World Cup in Santo Domingo , Oksana Slivenko and Tatiana Matwejewa competed for Russia and took the first two places in that order. In 2007, 2008 she was vice-European champion in Strasbourg and Lignano and in 2009 she finished 3rd in a duel in Bucharest , scoring 247 kg (108-139), 239 kg (103-136) and 239 kg (102-137 ). In 2010 she came to the European Championships in Minsk in the class up to 69 kg only on 234 kg (103-130) and had to be satisfied with this performance with 5th place.
