Goyang ( kor. 고양 ) is a city in Gyeonggi-do Province in South Korea . To Goyang includes the plan district Ilsan New Town , which by the line 3 underground Seoul with Seoul is connected. Goyang is located in the north of Seoul, the Bukhansan fortress is on part of the city limits.
There are several colleges in Goyang, including the Agricultural Cooperative College , Hankuk Aviation University, and Transnational Law and Business University, as well as the Open studio Artists-in-Residence's arts promotion program since 2005 .
The city is also home to the K-League Challenge football club Goyang Hi FC and hosted the World Weightlifting Championships from November 19-29, 2009.
