Armenia took part in the 2000 Summer Olympics in the Australian metropolis of Sydney with 25 athletes, two women and 23 men, in ten sports.

After 1996 it was the second participation of the European state in the Summer Olympic Games .

Flag bearer

The wrestler Vaghinak Galstyan (Վաղինակ Գալստյան) carried the flag of Armenia during the opening ceremony at Stadium Australia .
