Bolat Nuretdinuly Schumadilow ( Kazakh Болат Нұретдинұлы Жұмаділов ; born April 22, 1973 in Taras ) is a Kazakh boxer.

career

Schumadilow was able to place himself in the medal ranks at three consecutive amateur world championships: In 1995 he was second in the flyweight division in Berlin , he lost the final fight against Zoltan Lunka . At the 1997 World Championships in Budapest , he finished third, but finally won the world championship title in 1999 at the championships in Houston .

At the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta and the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney , he won a silver flyweight medal. In 1996 he lost the final against the Cuban Maikro Romero just 11-12 on points after he had been able to prevail in the semifinals against Zoltan Lunka. At the games in 2000 he defeated the future professional world champion Wachtang Dartschinjan from Armenia in the quarterfinals , in the final battle he was defeated by the Thai Wijan Ponlid .

In addition, Schumadilow won during his career the Asian Championships in 1994 in light flyweight (-48 kg) and 1995 in flyweight (-51 kg). In 1999 he won the bronze medal at the Asian Championships.
