Elvin Rauf oğlu Məmişzadə (also Elwin Mamischsade or Elvin Mamishzade, born December 17, 1991 in Sumqayıt ) is an Azerbaijani amateur boxer, vice European champion in 2010, Olympic participant in 2012 and 2016, winner of the 2015 European Games and 2015 world flyweight champion .

European Championships / European Games

Elvin Məmişzadə was European Cadet Champion in 2007 and European Youth Champion in 2009. At the 2010 European Championships , he won the silver medal at the European Championships in 2013 a bronze medal. He defeated among others David Hajrapetjan , Howhannes Danieljan , Kelvin de la Nieve and Norbert Kalucza . He suffered his defeats against Paddy Barnes and Andrew Selby . At the European Championships in 2011, he lost in the first fight against Selçuk Eker .

At the 2015 European Games in Baku , he defeated Myles Casey from Ireland, Daniel Asenow from Bulgaria, Hamza Touba from Germany and Vincenzo Picardi from Italy, with which he won the gold medal. In June 2017 he was eliminated from the European Championships in Kharkiv against Manuel Cappai in the round of 16.

World championships

At the Cadet World Championships 2007 he reached 5th place, while he was eliminated in the first fight at the 2009 World Championships . At the World Championships in 2011 he reached fifth place after victories against Julio Bria, Francisco Torrijos and Njambajaryn Tögstsogt , as well as a defeat against Michail Alojan . He reached another 5th place at the 2013 World Championships when he was eliminated in the quarterfinals against Chatchai Butdee after victories against Eduard Bermúdez and Sarip Dschumaew .

At the 2015 World Championships in Doha , he won the gold medal. He defeated Hamza Touba , Muhammad Ali , Mohamed Flissi and Yosvany Veitía . With this success, Məmişzadə qualified for the 2016 Olympic Games .

Olympic games

At the Olympic Games in London in 2012 he lost the first duel against Njambajaryn Tögstsogt (11:18). He also took part in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro , where he was eliminated in the quarter-finals against Shahobiddin Zoirov (0: 3).
