Hamza Touba (* 6. November 1991 in Neuss ) is a German boxer in the flyweight .
successes
He was German Junior Champion in 2009 and German Champion in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2017. In 2007 he won the silver medal at the EU Cadet Championships in Italy, when he was just eliminated in the final against Martin Ward (22:23). He also achieved fifth place at the 2009 European Youth Championships in Poland.
At the 2011 World Championships in Baku, he lost in the third round of the tournament against Kaew Pongprayoon . In 2012 he won a bronze medal at the U22 European Championships in Russia when he was eliminated in the semifinals against Salman Əlizadə . However, he defeated this in the round of 16 at the European Olympic Qualification 2012 in Trabzon , but then retired in the quarter-finals against Ferhat Pehlivan .
At the 2013 World Championships in Almaty , he won against Julião Neto before losing to Jasurbek Latipov in the next fight . At the 2015 European Games in Baku , he defeated the starters from Ukraine and Russia before losing to Elvin Məmişzadə from Azerbaijan in the semi-finals and receiving a bronze medal. At the 2015 World Championships in Doha , he beat Asat Usenalijew from Kyrgyzstan in the preliminary round, but was eliminated in the round of 16 against Elvin Məmişzadə.
In November 2015 he won the Tammer tournament in Finland. At the European Olympic qualification in Samsun in April 2016, he lost to Brendan Irvine in the round of 16 . In the worldwide Olympic qualification in Baku in June 2016, he lost in the first fight against Kim In-kyu from South Korea. At the WSB / APB Olympic qualification in Venezuela in July 2016, he defeated Hermogenes Castillo from Nicaragua and Ceiber Ávila from Colombia, which gave him a starting place for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. At the Olympics, however, he lost in the first fight against Frenchman Elie Konki (0: 3).
At the 2017 World Championships in Hamburg , he lost in the first fight against the Spaniard Gabriel Escobar . At the 2019 European Games in Minsk he lost to Daniel Asenov .
He has also been boxing in the World Series of Boxing (WSB) since 2013 , defeating Jeyvier Cintrón among others .
