Pinar Touba

Pinar Touba (born Pinar Yilmaz ; born March 15, 1988 in Lüdenscheid ) is a Turkish- German amateur boxer in the flyweight division.

She starts for ASV Wuppertal . Pinar Touba was German Junior Champion in 2005 and 2006 and German Elite Champion in 2007, 2010, 2011, 2013 and 2015.

At the 6th European Championships in Vejle in 2007 , she was eliminated in the quarter-finals against the Ukrainian Ludmila Hrytsay.

At the 6th World Championships in Bridgetown in 2010 , she was eliminated in the first round against the Ukrainian Tatyana Kob.

A highlight of her amateur career should be her participation in the 2012 Summer Olympics in London , the first Olympic Games in which women boxing was held. However, she failed in a qualifying battle for participation in the World Championships in China , where the starting places for the Olympics were awarded, to her German rival Azize Nimani with 11:14 on points.

In 2015 she married the boxer Hamza Touba . She moved to Heidelberg to train like her husband there at the Olympic base .
