Tunisia took part in the 2000 Summer Olympics in the Australian metropolis of Sydney with 47 athletes, seven women and 40 men, in ten sports.

It was the tenth time the African state had taken part in the Summer Olympics since 1960 .

Flag bearer

Wrestler Omrane Ayari carried the flag of Tunisia during the opening ceremony at the Australia Stadium .
