The US Virgin Islands participated in the 2000 Summer Olympic Games in Sydney with a delegation of nine athletes, six men and three women, in five sports.

It was the eighth time the US Virgin Islands had participated in the Summer Olympics .

Athlete Ameerah Bello carried the US Virgin Islands flag during the opening ceremony at Stadium Australia .
