Angola took part in the 2000 Summer Olympics in the Australian metropolis of Sydney with a delegation of 30 athletes, 15 men and 15 women, in five sports.
Since 1980 it was Angola's fifth participation in the Summer Olympic Games .
Flag bearer
Swimmer Nádia Cruz carried the Angolan flag during the opening ceremony at Stadium Australia .
