Angola took part in the 2008 Summer Olympics in the Chinese capital Beijing with 32 athletes, 15 women and 17 men, in six sports.
Since 1980 it was the seventh participation of an Angolan team in the Summer Olympics .
Flag bearer
The athlete Joao N'tyamba carried the Angolan flag during the opening ceremony in the national stadium .
