Mali took part in the Summer Olympics for the 11th timeat the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing . The Comité National Olympique et Sportif du Mali sent 17 athletes to compete in four sports.

The best placement was achieved by Taekwondoin Daba Modibo Keïta , who was eliminated in the round of 16 of the heavyweight division, but after the disqualification of Cuban Ángel Matos , he is ranked eighth with other athletes. The women's basketball team took twelfth place out of twelve teams.
