In 2008, Liechtenstein took part in the Summer Olympics for the 15th time. For the Summer Olympic Games in Beijing who named Liechtenstein Olympic Sports Federation (LOSV) two athletes. The tennis player Stephanie Vogt had receivedan invitation to the summer gamesfrom the World Tennis Federation (ITF)in March 2008, but had to give up her start due to an injury. Marcel Tschopp carried the flag at the opening ceremony.
