Lesotho was represented at the Olympic Games for the 9th timewith its participation in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing . The first participation was in 1972.

While the athlete Tsotang Maine appeared at the opening ceremony as the Lesotho flag bearer, the boxer Emanuel Thabiso Nketu was among other things at the closing ceremonies as the flag bearer of his home country.
