With its participation in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, Belize was represented at the Olympic Games for the 8th time. The first participation was in 1976. Before that, the nation had alreadycompetedtwice, in 1968 and 1972, as British Honduras .

• Jayson Jones

  Men, 200 meters, were eliminated in the first qualifying round in sixth place

• Jonathan Williams

  Men, 400 meter hurdles, moved into the semi-finals in fourth place in the first heat on August 15th

• Tricia Flores

  Women, long jump, finished 19th in their qualifying group with 5.25 m

  Men, class up to 58 kg
