Tricia Flores
Tricia Flores (born December 29, 1979 in Belize ) is a Belizean athlete . At a height of 1.70 m, her competition weight is 60 kg.
Life
As one of the few internationally competing Belizean track and field athletes, she lives in Belize and not in the United States. She studied primary education and economics at the University of Belize, but has also worked at a primary school, the Nazarene School in the Cayo District . She is a member of the team of the University of Belize, the Black Jaguars from the Belizean capital Belmopan .
successes
She took part in the 100-meter run at the World Athletics Championships in 2003 (7th in her qualifying group with 13.89 s) and 2005 (5th in her qualifying group with 12.59 s), as well as in the 2006 Commonwealth Games (8th in her qualifying group with 12.63 s). In the long jump she jumped on July 15, 2007 with 5.96 m in her second attempt at the Open Central American Championships in San Salvador, a Belizean record. At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing , she competed in the long jump and was 19 in her qualifying group with 5.25 m. At the 2018 Olympic Games, she was the flag bearer for Belize at the graduation ceremony. She was able to improve her Belizean long jump record on April 16, 2010 with 5.97 m at the Central American Games in Panama City by one centimeter. In total, she received eight gold medals, six silver medals and five bronze medals at Central American Athletics Championships ( Campeonatos Centroamericanos Mayores ) between 2004 and 2012, setting the championship record in Managua in 2004 with 5.60 m and 2007 in San José with 5.86 m. She received three bronze medals at the Central American Games in Guatemala City in 2001 , and a gold medal in Panama City in 2010.

Her personal best in the 100-meter run is 12.13 s, which she ran on June 3, 2005 in San José, Costa Rica, in the long jump at 5.97 m on April 16, 2010 in Panama City. In the triple jump , her best distance is 12.00 m, which she jumped on June 9, 2007 in San José. She also holds the Belizean record in the 4-by-100-meter relay .
