Lesotho took part inthe 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro . It was the eleventh participation in the Summer Olympics. The Lesotho National Olympic Committee nominated eight athletes in three sports.

The flag bearer at the opening ceremony was the athlete Mosito Lehata .
