Jordan participated in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro . It was the 10th participation in the Summer Olympics.

Ahmad Abughaush won the gold medal in featherweight (up to 68 kg) in Taekwondo . This was the first gold medal in Jordan's Olympic history.
