Hong Kong participated in the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney with a delegation of 31 athletes (nineteen men and twelve women) in 34 competitions in nine sports. No medals could be won. The flag bearer at the opening ceremony was the former swimmer Fenella Ng , who this time started as a rower.
