Uganda took part in the 2000 Summer Olympics in the Australian metropolis of Sydney with 13 athletes, four women and nine men, in five sports.

Since 1956 it was the eleventh participation of the African state in the Summer Olympics .

Flag bearer

Boxer Sande Muhamed Kizito carried the flag of Uganda during the opening ceremony at Stadium Australia .
