At the XXVII. At the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney , eight Taekwondo competitions were held, four each for women and men. The venue was the State Sports Center in the Sydney Olympic Park . Taekwondo was officially included in the Olympic program after it had been a demonstration sport in 1988 and 1992 .
