Daniel Trenton (born March 1, 1977 in Melbourne ) is a former Australian Taekwondoin .
Career
Daniel Trenton won his first international medal with the silver medal at the Asian Championships in 1996 in his native Melbourne in the weight class over 83 kilograms. In 1999 he won bronze in the weight class over 84 kilograms at the World Championships in Edmonton . In 2000 he took part in the Olympic Games in Sydney , where he met Kim Kyong-hun in the weight class over 80 kilograms after three wins in the final , to whom he was defeated 2: 6. Trenton thus received the silver medal. In 2002 he secured silver again at the Asian Championships in Amman in the same weight class. At the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens , he was eliminated in the weight class up to 80 kilograms in the second round against Youssef Karami with 9:13 and finished ninth.
After his active time as an athlete, he became a coach of the Australian national team, and he also held various positions at the world association .
