Youssef Karami ( Persian یوسف کرمی; * March 22, 1983 in Mianeh ) is an Iranian Taekwondoin who is successful in the world and middleweight division. In addition to two world championship titles, he won an Olympic bronze medal in 2004.

Karami achieved the breakthrough in the international top by winning the title in the class up to 78 kilograms at the 2002 Asian Cup in Amman . The following year he was also able to win the title at his first world championship in 2003 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen with a final victory over Mickael Borot in the class up to 84 kilograms. Karami qualified for the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens . In the class up to 80 kilograms he was eliminated from Steven Lopez in the semifinals after two successes in the opening round, but still fought for the bronze medal with two wins in the hope round. Karami remained successful in the years that followed. He won bronze at the 2005 World Cup in Madrid and won the Asian Games in Doha for the first time the following year . He missed participation in the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing , but won bronze again at the 2009 World Cup in Copenhagen , successfully defended his title at the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou and became Asian champion for the second time in Astana .

The year 2011 was also successful. Karami won his second world title at the 2011 World Championships in Gyeongju in the class up to 87 kilograms. At the international Olympic qualification tournament in Baku , he prevailed against well-known competitors and secured participation in his second Olympic Games in London in 2012 . There he reached seventh place.
