Kim Kyong-hun ( Korean 김경훈 ; born July 15, 1975 in Haenam ) is a former South Korean Taekwondoin and Olympic champion .
Career
Kim Kyong-hun won his first international medal by winning the title at the 1996 Asian Championships in Melbourne in the weight class up to 76 kilograms. 1997 in Hong Kong and 2001 in Jeju he won bronze in the weight class up to 76 and 84 kilograms respectively at the world championships . In 2000 he took part in the Olympic Games in Sydney , where he defeated Pascal Gentil in the semifinals in the weight category over 80 kilograms after two opening wins . In the final fight he defeated Daniel Trenton 6: 2 and became Olympic champion . In 2002 he won the gold medal at the Asian Games in Busan in the weight class up to 84 kilograms.
