Hamide Bıkçın Tosun (born January 24, 1978 ) is a former Turkish Taekwondoin . She started in the Olympic weight class up to 57 kilograms.
successes
Hamide Bıkçın Tosun was world champion in Manila in 1995 in the weight class up to 47 kilograms . In 2007 she also took silver in the weight class up to 59 kilograms in Beijing . At the European Championships in Patras in 2000 she won the title in the weight class up to 55 kilograms, plus a silver medal in 2004 in Lillehammer (up to 59 kilograms) and a bronze medal in 2008 in Rome (up to 63 kilograms). In her only participation in the Olympics , at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney , she was eliminated in the semifinals against the later Olympic champion Jung Jae-eun with 2: 3, but then secured a bronze medal with two wins in the hope round.
