Jung Jae-eun ( Korean 정재은 ; born January 11, 1980 ) is a former South Korean Taekwondoin and Olympic champion .
Career
Jung Jae-eun became world champion in Hong Kong in 1997 in the weight class up to 55 kilograms . In 1999 she won the silver medal in Edmonton , before she won the title again at the 2001 World Cup in Jeju . In between, she achieved her greatest career success in 2000 with the Olympic victory in the class up to 57 kilograms. In the final she defeated Trần Hiếu Ngân 2-0 and thus secured the gold medal. Jung secured her last international title in Amman in 2002 when she won the Asian championship in the class up to 55 kilograms.
