Chi Shu-ju ( Chinese  紀 淑 如 , born November 27, 1982 ) is a former Taiwanese Taekwondoin .

Career

Chi Shu-ju was in 1997 in Hong Kong in the weight category to 47 kilograms and 1,999 in Edmonton in the weight category up to 51 kg world champion . At the continental level she won silver in Melbourne in 1996 in the class up to 43 kilograms, in 1998 in Ho Chi Minh City gold in the class up to 47 kilograms and in 2006 in Bangkok bronze in the class up to 55 kilograms. At the 1998 Asian Games in Bangkok, she was also third in the weight class up to 43 kilograms. Chi took part in the Olympic Games twice: In 2000, after winning the first round in the class up to 49 kilograms in Sydney, she lost to the eventual Olympic champion Lauren Burns in the subsequent quarter-finals . In the hope round she then prevailed in her two fights and received the bronze medal. At the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens , she failed again in the quarter-finals in the class up to 57 kilograms.
