Natalja Nikolajewna Iwanowa ( Russian Наталья Николаевна Иванова ; born September 1, 1971 in Usolye-Sibirskoje , Russian SFSR ) is a former Russian Taekwondoin . She started in the Olympic weight class over 67 kilograms.

successes

Natalja Iwanowa achieved her breakthrough in 1996 when she landed at the top of several international tournaments and was European champion in the weight class over 70 kilograms in Helsinki . She repeated this success in Eindhoven in 1998 and in Samsun in 2002 in the weight class up to 72 kilograms. 1997 Iwanowa was vice world champion in Hong Kong . At the Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000 she reached the final fight after two wins, in which she lost to Chen Zhong 3: 8 and thus won the silver medal. She missed qualifying for the 2004 Olympic Games in 2003 and retired shortly thereafter.
