The 1998 European Taekwondo Championships took place from October 23-25, 1998 in Eindhoven , the Netherlands . The title fights were organized by the European Taekwondo Union (ETU). A total of 16 competitions took place, eight each for women and men in different weight classes.
The most successful nation was Spain with three gold, three silver and two bronze medals ahead of Denmark and Turkey . Germany won a total of two silver and two bronze medals, and Switzerland won silver once.
