Brigitte Yagüe Enrique (born March 15, 1981 in Palma de Mallorca ) is a Spanish Taekwondo . It starts in the weight class up to 49 kilograms. With three world and four European championship titles, she is one of the most successful Taekwondoin in her country.

Yagüe started in the weight class up to 47 kilograms. She achieved her first successes in 1998, becoming Junior World Champion in Istanbul and European Champion in the adult division in Eindhoven . Three years later, she won her first World Cup medal with silver at the World Championships in Jeju-si . In the following years she established herself among the best in the world and won two European and one world championship titles in three years. Yagüe qualified for the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens . She was one of the favorites there, but failed in her opening fight and was eliminated. In the post-Olympic year Yagüe was able to build on her old successes and won the silver medal in the weight class up to 51 kilograms at the European Championships in Riga and the World Championships in Madrid .

Yagüe collected further titles at the 2007 World Cup in Beijing , where she won gold with a final victory over Ana Zaninović . She also won the title at the European Championships in Rome in 2008 . The continental Olympic qualification, however, was disappointing. Yagüe failed in the quarterfinals to Sümeyye Manz and missed her second participation. With another world title in Copenhagen in 2009 and bronze medals at the 2011 World Championships in Gyeongju and the 2012 European Championships in Manchester , however, she remained successful in the following years.

Yagüe qualified at the European Olympic qualification tournament in January 2012 in Kazan with a semi-final victory over Kristina Kim for the Olympic Games in London . There she won the silver medal, losing to defending champion Wu Jingyu in the final .
