Stefan Schlede

Stefan Schlede (born August 24, 1940 in Berlin ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

Schlede passed his Abitur in 1959 and then studied history and English. In 1968 he passed his first state examination at the Free University of Berlin , and in 1971 his second state examination. In 1973 he was appointed to the faculty.

Schlede worked at the John F. Kennedy School in Zehlendorf while he was still a student . From 1975 to 1991 he was senior studies director in the church service at the Catholic School St. Marien in Neukölln .

Schlede joined the CDU in 1979. From 1997 to 2001 he was a member of the Zehlendorf district executive, and from 1998 to 2001 he was deputy state chairman of the CDU Berlin . He was also the spokesperson for education policy, chairman of the state forum for schools and a member of the federal committee for education policy. He is currently the local chairman of the CDU Wannsee , state party congress delegate and chairman of the state committee for education.

Schlede was a member of the Zehlendorf District Assembly from 1984 to 1991. From 1991 to 1995 he was district councilor for education and culture, from 1995 to 1999 he was deputy mayor, and his district council office was expanded to include personnel and administration.

In the 1999 elections to the House of Representatives, Schlede was directly elected in the Steglitz 2 constituency. He was a member of the House of Representatives until it was dissolved in 2001. A re-election in the constituency of Steglitz-Zehlendorf 2 failed. Schlede did not run for the direct mandate in 2006, only on the list in 2011. On November 18, 2011, he moved up on the district list in the House of Representatives. He replaced the mandate of the resigned Cerstin-Ullrike Richter-Kotowski and was spokesman for cultural policy there. In 2016 he left parliament.
